Wow this is an epic start to a brand new series by Holly！ I am here for the tension between Dacre and Nyra！ I really enjoyed Nyra’s character and I am looking forward to seeing her find herself cause that poor girl is lost。 Dacre is devotedly a brooding alpha-hole and I wanted to smack him at the end of the book。 I can’t wait for more！

This is the first book in the Veiled Kingdom series。 It’s an amazing enemies-to-lovers fantasy romance。 Beyond their hate for each other， there was an undeniable attraction between Nyra and Darce。 Following their story was a harrowing experience！ It kept me on pins and needles！ The plot was entertaining and filled with drama。 This is an excellent love story。

I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for an introduction to fantasy/romantasy。 It is a quick read， the storyline and the characters just have a way of pulling you into this story。Nyra is a princess but she has not had an easy life。 She is a survivor and when it comes to it， she is able to push back。 Dacre is easily a morally gray character。 But the things that come out of his mouth are enough to melt panties。 He is confident and the way he pushes Nyra， it is like he wants to see I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for an introduction to fantasy/romantasy。 It is a quick read， the storyline and the characters just have a way of pulling you into this story。Nyra is a princess but she has not had an easy life。 She is a survivor and when it comes to it， she is able to push back。 Dacre is easily a morally gray character。 But the things that come out of his mouth are enough to melt panties。 He is confident and the way he pushes Nyra， it is like he wants to see her lose control。The slow build up with these two was hot。 The push and pull， the animosity is all a build up to something insanely hot。 。。。more

I was not ready for Dacre！！ Holly has gone and done it again because this book had me hooked from the very beginning。 If you like enemies to lovers， only one bed， forbidden romance， secret identity， and a dirty mouth MMC， you have to read this book！ Nyra has been hiding from her father， living on the streets of the kingdom， and just trying to survive with her best friend Micah。 Things change though when she finds herself captured and thrown in the castle dungeons after stealing。 She's not there I was not ready for Dacre！！ Holly has gone and done it again because this book had me hooked from the very beginning。 If you like enemies to lovers， only one bed， forbidden romance， secret identity， and a dirty mouth MMC， you have to read this book！ Nyra has been hiding from her father， living on the streets of the kingdom， and just trying to survive with her best friend Micah。 Things change though when she finds herself captured and thrown in the castle dungeons after stealing。 She's not there long though。 Wren， a girl who was captured when Nyra was， is the daughter of the rebellion leader， and her brother Dacre comes to rescue her。 But Wren wants him to save Nyra too。 She trades one prison for another， because Dacre doesn't trust her， and forces her to train to become a warrior。 Nyra and Wren instantly become friends and roommates。 Wren even tries to stand up for Nyra against her brother and her father on multiple occasions。 The chemistry and obvious tension between Nyra and Dacre is so intense。 When one of the other rebellion members starts to show some interest in Nyra， Dacre goes all alphahole。。。and I was here for every second of it。 Oh， and he uses mine and who hurt you multiple times。。。swoon！ There is a bit of a slow burn， but it is worth the wait！ The Veiled Kingdom does end on a cliffhanger， so be prepared！ But book 2， The Hunted Heir， is already in the works！ The cliffhanger was spicy and I can't wait to see what happens next。。。especially after a major bombshell was revealed。 This book has its fair share of secrets and deception， and I have a few unanswered questions， so I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book。 This book is an ♾️/10 read for me！ 。。。more
